Dear Cambridge Community,
I hope you enjoyed the April vacation and the warmer weather we have been experiencing. I viewed the calendar today and realized how quickly the school year is progressing. I am very pleased with the work that is occurring in our schools and classrooms. I would like to pause and thank all of the teachers and staff for the work they do everyday with students.
In this edition of our newsletter, we are highlighting some of the great work that is happening with our city partners and with DESE regarding students with disabilities. In addition, there is a wonderful article that features our very own Betty Smith-MacKenzie from the Morse school. We are also continuing to prepare for summer programs and services and are excited about what offerings we have for our students.
I would like to send a personal thanks and congratulations to Ms. Paula Feynman, Program Manager for Advanced Learning. Paula recently accepted a position with the Conservatory Lab Charter School in Dorchester as the Math and Science Coordinator. Paula has worked hard over the past several years to support the students with advanced learning needs and their families. She has also been a collaborative thought partner with the district’s curriculum coordinators to support the diverse needs of our learners with advanced learning needs. I am very grateful for the time and commitment that Paula put into her work in the district. We are happy for Paula but she will be greatly missed. Paula’s last day is May 12. Please congratulate Paula as you see her over the next couple of weeks.
Thank you for taking the time to read our newsletter.
Make It Great!!
