CPS Community Cookbook

CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT YOUR RECIPE, VIDEO & PHOTOS

The Cambridge Public Schools World Language Department is creating a Community Cookbook. All JK-12 students and staff are welcome to submit their favorite recipe. Please use the Google Form link to send us a written recipe and photos or a video of how to make the recipe. Signed media release forms will be required for any student who submits a video. The deadline is 5PM on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021.

During National Foreign Language Week, March 1-5, 2021, the new CPS Community Cookbook will go live on our CPS website. At this time, we will ask our community members to vote for your favorite recipe project based on the criteria listed here. We will celebrate the winner the following week.

View sample videos below to give you an idea of what kinds of recipes and videos we are aiming to collect. Videos should be recorded in your preferred language. If your video is in a language other than English, it would be ideal to include subtitles in English to accommodate deaf members of our community as well as those who do not speak your home language. Captions are easy to add on CPS approved tools such as Screencastify.

This recent article provides a great overview of the powerful community-building role that cookbooks have had during this unusual time. Have fun!
