Monday’s Author Visit: Mr. Bryan Collier
We were so pleased to welcome Mr. Bryan Collier to our school for an author visit. Mr. Collier is the winner of multiple literary awards, including 4 Caldecott Honors! He presented online with all students this morning. He shared his grit and perseverance in becoming an author and his passion for being an artist. He also spoke about social justice and how we are all connected and matter. Thank you to Ms. Varney, Ms. Rosenberg, and the many parents who volunteered (Li-Ting, Christina, Kathryn, Mallory, Donielle, Eric, and any others I may have missed), and MLK Friends for sponsoring this wonderful event.

"When you become an artist, every single dream is possible. This is what drives me—anyone you want to meet on the planet you can meet in a book and picture book!" - Mr. Collier

Outdoor Gear

In-Person: Outdoor Gear
Please make sure that students are dressed appropriately for the weather. All classes have lunch outside—weather permitting. Most classes have been able to also have breakfast outdoors. Since specials—except PE—are remote, teachers have been taking more movement breaks outdoors to reduce “cabin fever” in classrooms.
