Weekly Library Classes
The library teacher meets students in grades J/K-5 every week and creates lessons that aim to encourage all students to be curious, engaged learners and avid readers. Lessons are based on the Cambridge School District's Educational Technology and Library Media Learning Expectations for grades K-5.Often, lessons involve a read-aloud that is followed by a discussion and/or a written or drawn response from the students to demonstrate their learning. The last 10-15 minutes of each class is usually devoted to book check-out. Students in all grades have an opportunity to browse and borrow books from the library during this time. Students in J/K select books that are kept in their classroom libraries for the week.

For more information about the library, please email Jennifer Varney.
