Dear MLK Caregivers,

We are thrilled to share that today’s All School March for What You Believe was an incredible success! Our students, each holding signs that reflected their values and beliefs, came together to engage in a meaningful and inspiring display of social justice. The event was a powerful reminder of the importance of standing up for what matters.

A special thank you goes to our Family Liaison, Marguerite Hicks-Gyewu, whose ideas, support, and coordination made today’s march possible. Her dedication to ensuring every detail was in place truly helped make the event run smoothly.

Thank you also to our art teacher Mx. Engel for helping students create signs.Students were so enthusiastic to put their ideas in words and illustrations for the event.

We’d also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our local police for their assistance in helping to keep everyone safe throughout the march.

This event not only gave our students a voice, but it also encouraged all of us to reflect on how we can continue to foster social justice in our community. We are proud of the thoughtfulness and energy our students brought today and look forward to seeing how these experiences will continue to shape their growth.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, and to our families for their continued support.

Best,

Principal Yung
