Registration, Refund, and Cancellation Policies

PROGRAM INFORMATION & POLICIES
Fall session classes will begin Monday, September 18, 2017 and end Friday, February 16, 2018.

Registration Procedure

Registration Form:
The class selection form attached in the back of the brochure should be filled out and returned during the noted registration times below along with the following:
(Note: if you are a returning family and the information has not changed, you only need the form on the back of the brochure - with your class selection)

  • Information release form (attached in the back of brochure) – New Families
  • Two emergency contact cards (pink cards; available in our office) – New Families
  • DHSP forms (available in our office) – New Families
  • If your child has been prescribed epi-pen and/or inhaler, we need a copy of the action plan provided by your child’s physician and a signed Medical Consent Form (available in our office). Your child will not be able to start if we do not have their emergency medication such as inhalers and/or epi-pens.
Other Details:
  • There is an annual application fee of $25 per child due at registration.
  • Priority registration will be given to students registered in the program Monday – Friday.
  • After the dates below, applications will be accepted on a space available basis.
  • You will be notified only if the class you have chosen is full. If you do not hear from us you may assume your child is enrolled in the selected class.
  • Full payment is due at registration. If you would like to set up a payment plan, contact the director for more information. Partial scholarships are available to children who are Cambridge residents and meet our qualification guidelines.

Registration Dates

  • Jr. K/Kindergarten Grades (Registering full week ONLY)
    Monday, September 11 | 5:30-7PM | MLK Cafeteria
  • 1st-5th Grades (Registering full week ONLY)
    Tuesday, September 12 | 5:30-7PM | MLK Cafeteria
  • All Grades (Registering 4 days or less, including 2-4PM classes on Wednesdays)
    Wednesday, September 13 | 5:30-7PM | MLK Cafeteria
Payments

Checks or Money Orders should be made out to the M.L. King Neighborhood Council. No cash please. Full payment is expected at registration unless a payment plan has been arranged with the program director.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Occasionally classes and schedules do change due to unforeseen circumstances. We also reserve the right to cancel classes which are under-enrolled. However, if a class is cancelled, we will return or credit your payment. If you or your child should decide that a class is not the right choice after the first class but before the second, we will refund your money. Partial refund will be given if a student is no longer able to participate due to medical reasons. Refunds will not be given if a child missed classes.
