Snow Day Fun

Let’s be honest, we have had enough snow for the next three years. I’d like to think that we won’t have yet another snow day, but just to be safe here are some ideas on how you can integrate technology into your “day off” to mix in some fun and learning.
Create a time lapse video of the snow storm - Time lapse photography is the process of capturing many photos over a period of time and assembling them into video form. It makes time appear to be moving a lot quicker.
There are apps that you can download to create time lapse videos, but you can also create a timelapse video just by taking pictures of the same scene over the course of time.
Create a “how-to” video - Have your children become snow artists with all this snow? Turn those artists into teachers! Have students think about how they can teach someone how to build a snowman or create a snow angel. You can use your tablet or smartphone’s camera to create teaching videos.
