Many thanks to the King Parent Group who treated King Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten students to a special visit from author/illustrator Monica Wellington on October 5. Ms. Wellington shared stories of how she found her calling as a young child and showed students her process for developing ideas for new books. Ms. Wellington also shared a few pages from her new book,

King 4th graders had an opportunity to meet author/illustrator Maris Wicks at the Cambridge Public Library on October 7. Ms. Wicks has just published a widely praised nonfiction graphic novel,
Human Body Theater which features a musical revue starring all the biological systems of the human body.
