CPS offers a new text messaging service that will allow schools and CPS to send out important announcements and emergency alerts via text message. Current CPS families should have received a text message from 675-87 on Monday, October 30th, inviting you to opt in.
  • If you did not receive the text, please contact the school so they can check your student's record.
  • You may opt in to this service by responding to that text at any time.
  • If you opted out but would like to subscribe, or if you lost the original message, you may text 675-87 at any time.
When a record is updated, or a family registers for the first time, an invitation will be sent by text within 1-2 business days. Again, the school clerk is the person who can make sure your student's information is correct in our system. We remind you to please check with your wireless carrier to determine any possible costs related to text messaging. CPS does not reimburse for any charges associated with sending or receiving text messages.

We hope this service provides greater connection between schools and families while increasing safety for all staff and students.
