CSV Receives $10K Donation From The Red Sox Foundation

RedSoxFoundation-logo.jpgCambridge School Volunteers (CSV) is pleased to announce a $10,000 donation from the Red Sox Foundation. The grant will be used to fund CSV’s recruitment and placement of volunteers at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS), the city’s public high school, including one-to-one tutors in the CSV-managed Tutoring Center, classroom assistants, Science Olympiad team mentors and college planning advisors.

Asked about the recent donation, CSV’s Executive Director, Jennifer Fries, commented, "We are proud of our partnership with the Red Sox Foundation, which has done so much to ensure that students of color, low-income students, and immigrant students have every opportunity to excel in school.  Together with the Red Sox Foundation, Cambridge School Volunteers provides free tutoring, mentoring, and college essay writing and planning for Cambridge public school students."

The Red Sox Foundation is the award-winning official team charity of the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox Foundation’s goal is to harness the passion fans have for the Red Sox and transform it into a vehicle for positive change in our community.
