The Citywide School Advisory Group (CSAG)

The Cambridge Citywide School Advisory Group (CSAG) is an official district-wide parent/guardian/caregiver group that includes parent representatives from every Cambridge public school, JK-12th. CSAG representatives meet monthly in open public meetings to discuss common issues, share best practices, and bring parent ideas, recommendations and concerns directly to the Superintendent, CPS administrators, and the Cambridge Education Association (CEA), which is the union of Cambridge educators. The Superintendent, district administrators, and CEA leaders often attend CSAG meetings.

Established in the spring of 2011, the goals of CSAG are:

  • to increase collaboration between Cambridge Public Schools,
  • to facilitate the sharing of best practices in academic and community-building programs amongst schools,
  • to strengthen connections and communication across school communities,
  • to provide parents with an ongoing forum for discussion,
  • to create a cohesive, citywide community of public school parents,
  • to advocate for parent voice and to provide parent input into district-wide decisions.

Meetings & Minutes
CSAG meetings are held monthly and rotate locations from school to school. All meetings are from 6:30 to 8:30PM. All parents, guardians, family members, caregivers, and members of the public are welcome.
