Cambridge Public Schools has been awarded the Trusted Learning Environment Seal again demonstrating our continued commitment to developing district procedures, policies, and practices that create a “Trusted Learning Environment.” As the first district to renew the application in the nation, we are proud of our successes and continue to make student data privacy a priority.

August 2016
Congratulations to Cambridge Public Schools for being chosen as one of the seven schools nationwide to be awarded the Trusted Learning Environment Seal. The TLE Seal Program is an initiative of CoSN (the Consortium for School Networking), in association with AASA, the School Superintendents Association, the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), and ASCD

Technology is a critical part of the 21st century classroom, and data is vital to efforts to provide a more personalized education for all students. The TLE Seal is a mark of distinction, signaling CPS has taken measurable steps to assure the digital privacy of student data.

The program requires school systems to have implemented student data privacy protections that meet a set of high standards around 5 core practice areas:

  • Leadership
  • Business
  • Data Security
  • Classroom
  • Professional Development

Cambridge Public Schools is proud to be acknowledged for our efforts surrounding student data privacy and will proudly display the TLE seal signifying our commitment and will continue to ensure high standards are met as we demonstrate effective practices in each of these 5 core areas.
