Go Green Challenge 2016

Update! Morse School Wins Go Green Challenge 2016 >>

The Go Green Challenge is a competition run each year in the Cambridge Public School District, out of the Office for Sustainability. We partner with the Department of Public Works (DPW). Every elementary classroom teacher receives a sheet to fill out with his or her students, indicating green actions they are taking together, such as recycling, having a plant in the classroom, or printing double-sided.

When this sheet is filled out, teachers hang it outside their classroom door. Kristen Middleton (Sustainability Manager) and Meryl Brott (DPW Recycling Program Manager) come around and tally the number of sheets hanging in each school. The school with the highest percent participation wins a trophy! There are second and third place prizes, as well.
